The Town of Birchwood is in Washburn County, Wisconsin. We have a total of 72 square miles. We are one of the 21 towns, 2 villages and 2 cities located in Washburn County. Located within the Town of Birchwood is 4 school districts, Birchwood, Spooner, Hayward, and Rice Lake. The Town has its own Highway Department which is manned by 2 full time employees. They maintain approximately 53.29 miles of Town roads.
